yes officer, i do | tim & amy get married

Amy & Tim

Let me just start off by saying that we love Tim & Amy!  They are the perfect match, an awesome couple full of life and so down to earth.  We had a ton of fun at their reception, actually the most fun we’ve ever had at an event.  The ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful and serene Mount Pleasant Winery in Augusta, Missouri.  And, we hear that there were a few complications getting there.  You see, the Boone’s Crossing Bridge was closed for inspection & repair, on their wedding day, nonetheless!  The limo was nearly an hour late to pick up Amy’s parents, so the ceremony was delayed.  Since it was a blazing 90+ degrees outside, the ever so handsome and gracious groom invited all of their guests into the ballroom for refreshments while they waited.  How incredibly thoughtful!  Since all of this was unplanned, major props go out to wedding coordinator extraordinaire Stephanie Burke who was there to help bring everything together.  (Girls, I’m telling you, wedding coordinators are priceless-a total must have!)  Once the bride’s parents arrived, all of the festivities were underway, and everything went perfectly from there.  Amy was stunning in her tea-length strapless dress and hot pink shoes!  I think that every girl should wear super hot & bright colored shoes on her wedding day.

Since David (aka my hubba-ssistant) was busy on a volunteer landscaping project, my sister Heather made a special guest appearance to help me out for the evening.  Special thanks to you sister; you are so much fun to work with!  So more about this event: we were situated at the edge of the dance floor, and I had a very hard time keeping still.  The DJ duo from TKO rocked the place out with nearly every music genre, making it even more difficult for me to hold back from bustin’ a move!  Then there were the policemen…Did I mention that Tim is a police officer?  They had more fun than all of the other guests!  They took command of the dance floor, and there was one, in particular, that managed to sneak his way into more photobooth pictures than anyone else.  Hats off to you officer…you know who you are!  Since the wine was flowing, Tim and Amy were extra cautious and gracious hosts.  They sent many of their guests off by way of a shuttle, making sure they would not have to drive home via the infamous and often treacherous Hwy 94.

So without further ado, here are some of my favorite photobooth pics from the night:

Stay tuned for more pics from the uber talented photographer Jodi Schlosser, she got some dreamy shots of Tim and Amy inside the booth.
